Introducing Brent Chancellor, New York City and Mid Atlantic Regional Sales Managerfrom Abby Mycek
In June 2016, Schöck welcomed its New York City and Mid Atlantic Regional Sales Manager, Brent Chancellor, to the team. Brent currently resides in Jersey City, New Jersey but is an Oklahoma boy at heart having grown up in a suburb of Oklahoma City riding the range and roping tornadoes for fun.
Brent has a distinguished academic background. He earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma before going on to Lehigh University where he earned a Ph.D in Structural Engineering.
While attending Lehigh he worked as a research assistant at the ATLSS Engineering Research Center and NEES RTMD equipment site where he got the opportunity to do what he always wanted to do – test buildings and break them in a laboratory to see how they work, or as he describes it, “Really cool stuff!”
In addition to being an avid student, Brent enjoys teaching students and has played the role of Visiting Assistant Professor at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Before joining Schöck, Brent was working in New York City for a structural engineering firm designing super-tall and mega-tall skyscrapers and was having a grand time doing so until he was lured into the wild world of structural breaks!
Brent also enjoys sailing, traveling, cycling and race car driving.
