Introducing Chris Ford, Northeast Regional Sales Managerfrom Abby Mycek
In April 2016, Schock welcomed its first Northeast Regional Sales Manager, Christopher Ford, to its team. A New Jersey native and a Stevens Institute of Technology alum, Chris’ experience studying, living, and working in the Tri-State area makes him both an expert on the region and an exciting addition to the North American team.
Chris specializes in technical consulting on engineering and construction of projects and brings an impressive academic and work resume to the table. At Stevens Institute of Technology, Chris received his Bachelors of Engineering in Systems Engineering and also minored in economics. While attending, he won first prize in the USDOT-SNAME Ship Design Competition and was the lacrosse team captain and All American.
After completing his studies, Chris worked for several companies prior to Schöck including Tishman Construction and LEHR Construction, where he worked on new and existing commercial projects. He also worked for the MTACC on the East Side Access transportation project and for CETCO Building materials as the Technical Sales Manager for NYC-Metro area.
Chris is passionate about energy efficiency and spreading awareness about climate change. Schöck’s expertise in thermal bridging solutions is what drew him to us. He is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a LEED Green Associate and a Certified Green Roof Professional. In keeping with his commitment to the field is his affiliation with such groups as Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, Project Management Institute and the American Society of Engineering Managers (ASEM).
Chris resides in NJ with his wife, daughter and two dogs. He enjoys exploring the outdoors – specifically the Adirondacks and New England.
