An Exciting Week in Vancouver at BuildEX 2013!

from Dieter Hardock

On February 13th and 14th Schöck had the great opportunity to present the company and Isokorb structural thermal breaks, at BuildEX 2013 to the construction community in Vancouver, British Columbia.

We experienced great interest at our booth, and found out that most people are aware of the problems and effects of thermal bridging. But not of the solution – Schöck Isokorb® for concrete and steel applications.

We conducted a session, The Real Cost of an Energy Efficient Building Envelopetogether with two acknowledged experts of the building industry, Graham Finch from RDH Building Engineering and Levy Stoelting from Glotman Simpson. The meeting room was fully booked, and the session was sold out!

We also had some project meetings during the week with interested architects, engineers and builders. We are proud to offer Schöck Isokorb, the solution to thermal bridging, and to increased awareness to energy efficiency toBritish Columbia. We also got the confirmed order to incorporate Isokorb in LIDO, a new residential tower at False Creek, by Bosa Properties.

We recognized the amazing location of Vancouver and the quality of life there. By the way, Schöck Isokorb also participates in protecting the environment, especially the great nature in BC, by reducing the CO2 emission. Vancouver is definitely a great place to live…and next time we will be sure to join you for skiing at Grouse Mountains or Whistler. 🙂
